Williams No. 1, Pan 7th On Golf World's Watch List
Sept. 5, 2012
Golf World released its list of the top 50 players to watch for the upcoming 2012-13 college golf season and Chris Williams is No. 1, while Cheng-Tsung Pan is No. 7 on the list. Williams, who will be a senior, is current the world's No. 1 ranked amateur. He recently won the Mark H. McCormack Medal for the top amateur during the 2011-12 season. Williams already has a school record five tournament wins and will look to add to that total in his last year at Washington. Pan checks into the list six spots behind Williams after a stellar freshman season and 2012 summer. He is a two-time U.S. Amateur quarterfinalist and earned one win in his only season at Washington. On the women's side, Husky sophomore SooBin Kim was named to the Best of the Rest portion of the top-50 players to watch. |
