The U.S. Amateur Championship gets underway today, Monday, Aug. 23, at both Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash., and the Home Course, in Dupont, Wash.

Two recent UW graduates, Nick Taylor and Darren Wallace, are both a part of the field. Taylor teed off on the 10th hole of the Home Course at 7:45 a.m. this morning while Wallace will get started on the first hole of Chambers Bay at 2:00 p.m.

All 312 players will participate in 18 holes of stroke play on Monday and Tuesday, after which the field will be cut down to the top 64 players. Those 64 players then participate in a match-play tournament that runs from Wednesday through Sunday (two rounds on Thursday and Sunday, one round the other days).

Here is a link to the tee times. And here's the official website for the tournament.
