• Canadian Amateur Live Scoring CUMBERLAND, Ont. - Trevor Simsby is tied for 16th and Charlie Hughes is tied for 80th after Tuesday's first round of the Canadian Amateur Championship being played at Camelot Golf and Country Club in Cumberland, Ohio. Simsby, who is going to be a a junior this fall at Washington, shot 2-under 70 and is four shots off the lead, established by Alex Carrigan. Hughes, a senior-to-be, shot 74 and is among 14 golfers tied for 80th. A total of 233 golfers completed the first round. The low 70 scorers, plus ties, will advance to the third and fourth rounds on Thursday and Friday after Wednesday's second round. |
