Mackenzie in Contention at Canadian Open

TORONTO -- Brock Mackenzie shot a 2-under 68 on Friday and is -8 overall after two rounds and tied for fifth at the RBC Canadian Open. Fellow Huskies Alex Prugh and Nick Taylor failed to make the cut at St. George's Golf and Country Club. Mackenzie had a round that included four birdies and two bogeys and made just his second ever PGA Tour cut. He is two strokes behind co-leaders Dean Wilson and Tim Clark. Prugh missed the cut by one stroke after finishing 1-over par overall after two rounds. He bogeyed his final hole of the tournament to finish just outside the cutline. Taylor finished at +2 overall after a pair of 71's. Mackenzie is scheduled to tee off at 1:23 p.m. ET with Hunter Mahan. |
