Huskies in Fourth at Duck Invitational

 

March 22, 1999

EUGENE, Ore. - The 10th-ranked Washington mens golf team stands in fourth place with a total of 598 after 36 holes and one day of competition at the Duck Invitational. Host Oregon leads with a four-over total of 580 on the par 72, 6,854-yard Eugene Country Club course.

Freshman Troy Kelly led the Huskies by carding a two-over par 146 (72-74) to stand in a tie for fifth place. Oregons Adrian Burtner leads the 14-team field with a four-under 140.

Scott Kral came in next for the Huskies, at five over 149 to tie for 13th place. He was followed by Rob Rashell and Will McCurdy in 24th (152). Brett Bochmann rounded out the scoring five by carding 157 to stand in 57th. Robb Bergeson came in at 160 to close the day at 63rd. Playing as an individual, Justin Miller is also in 24th-place at 152.

The tournament concludes with a final 18 holes beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
