SEATTLE - More honors for Husky football players were announced today as linebacker Donald Butler earned honorable mention All-America from SI.com while Chris Polk, James Johnson and Desmond Trufant were all named to The Sporting News' Pac-10 All-Freshman team.

Butler, a senior from Sacramento, Calif., also confirmed that he has received an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl Jan. 30 in Mobile, Ala. Butler was the Huskies' leading tackler with 94 stops.

Polk, Johnson and Trufant were all honored by The Sporting News. Polk, a tailback from Redlands, Calif., became the first freshman in Husky history to rush for over 1,000 yards, finishing the season with 1,113.

Johnson, a wide receiver from Valley Center, Calif., notched 39 receptions for 422 yards and three scores in his true freshman season while Trufant, a cornerback from Tacoma, Wash., posted 47 tackles and two interceptions.
