Bike To The Game!
Aug. 31, 2009
SEATTLE - UW Commuter Services is partnering with Seattle bike groups to help Husky fans leave the congestion and expense of parking behind and turn getting to the game into part of the fun. New programs and services make riding bicycles to Husky football games easy and fun for the whole family. The Burke-Gilman Trail, the region's premier biking and walking trail, runs from Ballard to Bothell and goes right past Husky Stadium along the way. Built on a former train bed, the trail offers a gentle grade without the challenges posed by some of Seattle's steep climbs. Once at the stadium, bikers can lock up to one of the many bicycle racks nearby, or skip the lock and use the new valet bicycle parking service. Introducing Valet Bicycle Parking Bike to the Game Discount Day at Husky Stadium - September 12 Game tickets for bicyclists are discounted (based on availability) and bicyclists get to sit together during the game.
