HuskyStadium.com | Buy 2012 Season Tickets SEATTLE - University of Washington athletic department officials announced today that the 2013 football season opener against Boise State has been moved from Sept. 7 to Aug. 31. The move was made because Aug. 31 was deemed a more advantageous date for both programs. The matchup will be Washington's first home game in Husky Stadium following its $250 million renovation. "The diligent work and progress made to date by our development team of Wright Runstad & Co., Turner Construction, and 360 Architects, has instilled great confidence that the Husky Stadium renovation will remain on time and on budget," Scott Woodward, UW director of athletics, said. "Because of that confidence, we feel very comfortable pushing this game forward to a date which better serves both institutions." |
