July 6, 2010

If you didn't attend the inaugural Husky Football "Raise the Woof!" kickoff celebration last season, you won't want to miss the 2010 edition.

If you DID attend last season's event, you know that you'll want to make plans now to be there again this year.

The 2010 Raise the Woof will be held on Friday, August 27, just a week and a day before the Husky football team opens the season at Brigham Young on Sept. 4.

The celebration, which will be held on the east practice field at Husky Stadium, gives fans the chance to walk down the legendary Husky Stadium tunnel, meet players and coaches, hear the staff talk about the coming season and find out from Coach Steve Sarkisian who the captains are for the 2010 season.

Any one of the 1,700 fans who attended last year's event can tell you that it was an electrifying evening of Husky football, with a level of energy surpassed only by gameday at Husky Stadium.

Registration for Raise the Woof is now available here at gohuskies.com. Click here to sign up online.

Husky fans of all ages are welcome. Admission includes free event parking and shuttle service; reception with the Husky players and coaches; hosted beer, wine and soft drinks; and dinner provided by Jewel Hospitality. The reception begins at 6:00 p.m. and the dinner and program portion of the evening starts at 7:00 p.m.

Registration must be completed by Wednesday, August 18.
