SEATTLE - A total of 21 student-athletes have signed national letters of intent or financial aid agreements to enroll at the University of Washington and play football for the Huskies, head coach Tyrone Willingham announced today. The group includes 14 high-school athletes and seven that attended junior college last year.
Included in this list of future Huskies below are three junior college transfers that signed in December. Two of them - Danny Morovick and Jordan Murchison - are currently enrolled at the UW while Anthony Atkins is expected to enroll in the spring.
Of the players in this year's recruiting class, five hail from Washington, 13 are from California and one each come from Arizona, Nebraska and Nevada.
Washington opens the 2006 football season Sept. 2 at Husky Stadium vs. San Jose State.
