Rested Dawgs Set For First Pac-12 Meeting With Colorado

Huskies take on Buffs Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (ROOT Sports TV).

2011: Saw action in six of the Huskies' 13 games, starting the Washington State game and the Alamo Bowl at left guard.

2010: Saw action at offensive guard in the Huskies' win over Syracuse.

2009: Switched from the defensive line to the offensive line early in the 2009 season and quickly emerged ... ended up playing in each of the last nine games of the season, all at left guard ... started at left guard at Arizona State, vs. Oregon, at UCLA and at Oregon State.

2008: Played in seven of the UW's 12 games during the 2008 season, mostly as a defensive tackle in goal-line situations ... saw action vs. Oklahoma, Arizona, Oregon State, Notre Dame, USC, UCLA and Washington State.

2007: Did not see any game action as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL & PERSONAL: A first-team All-CIF San Diego section defensive lineman in 2006 ... named a first-team all-county defensive lineman and an all-academic selection by the San Diego Union-Tribune, which also placed him on its All-San Diego Section team ... played on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Titans ... led 11th-seeded Poway to the CIF San Diego Section Division I final, where his team fell to unbeaten Carlsbad ... invited to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Fort Lauderdale in January ... named to CalHiSports all-state second-team ... a PrepStar All-America pick ... ranked as nation's No. 36 defensive tackle recruit in California and the No. 90 recuit (all positions) in California by Rivals ... tabbed the No. 34 defensive tackle prospect in the country and No. 57 player in California by Scout ... as a junior, earned All-Palomar League first-team and led the Titans to the second round of the Division I playoffs ... also on the powerful Poway wrestling team, as the team's top heavyweight ... helped Poway to the No. 1 ranking in the state following the 2005 season ... Poway is currently ranked No. 1 in the state as well ... coached by Damian Gonzalez.
