2009: Came on early in the season to earn a starting spot at one cornerback position and started the final nine games of the season ... played in all 12 ... one of 10 Husky true freshmen to see action in 2009 ... won the Travis Spring Most Outstanding Freshman Award at the team's postseason banquet ... honorable mention All-Pac-10 ... named to The Sporting News freshman All-Pac-10 team ... after seeing significant action in the first three games of the year, picked up first starting assignment at Stanford ... the following week at Notre Dame, had six tackles, including one for a loss, and scored on a 17-yard fumble recovery ... in the win over Arizona, had four tackles, one for loss, and a 32-yard return of an interception on Arizona's final drive of the game, securing the UW victory ... four tackles at ASU and three vs. Oregon ... seven tackles (all solo) and an interception at UCLA ... also had seven tackles (all solo again) the following week at Oregon State ... seven tackles in the 42-10 win over 19th-ranked California.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named first-team all-state by the Seattle Times following his senior season ... also earned a spot on the Seattle Times' preseason all-state team ... named to the All-Narrows League first team as both a running back and cornerback as a senior ... posted 47 tackles and eight interceptions as a junior, when he was an All-Narrows League first-team cornerback ... named a "red chip" prospect by the Seattle Times ... named a "Northwest Nugget" honorable mention by the Tacoma News-Tribune ... chosen by rivals.com as the No. 56 cornerback prospect in the nation ... tabbed as the nation's No. 70 cornerback recruit by scout.com ... listed as the No. 108 prospect in the west by superprep.com ... a younger brother of former Washington State star and current Seattle Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant ... another older brother, Isaiah, played football at Eastern Washington and in the Arena League ... also a standout long jumper and triple jumper on the Rams' track team ... took second place in the 4A state track meet in the triple jump (46 feet, 5.75 inches) and 11th in the long jump (21 feet, 2.25 inches) as a junior in 2008 ... also played basketball at Wilson, earning second-team all-league as a junior ... played football for coach Don Clegg.
