Ikaika Malloe
Ikaika Malloe is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach on the Washington staff. In 1997 he served as a manager while completing his undergraduate degree. From 1993-96 Malloe was a four-time letterwinner as a whip linebacker at Washington. He works primarily with the Husky defense. A native of Waimanalo, Hawaii, Malloe earned a reputation during his playing career as being the hardest hitter on the team. As a junior in 1995, he started all 11 games, six times at whip linebacker and five times at roverback. He led Washington that season with four interceptions. He was awarded a scholarship that season and for his senior season. A regular on Washington's special teams during his career, Malloe was voted the Bob Jarvis "Most Inspirational Walkon" following his freshman season in 1993. An all-state free safety at Hawaii's Kamehameha High School, Malloe earned his undergraduate degree in sociology. |
