Mammoth Tight Ends Are Keys To UW-Stanford Showdown

Huskies, Stanford feature a combined 39 feet, 2 inches of tight ends, a rarity in college football today.

2011: Played in 10 of the Huskies' 13 games, starting at one tight end spot in the Oregon game ... former walk-on awarded a scholarship prior to the start of the season ... saw regular action at tight end ... caught one pass, a two-yard touchdown at Stanford.

2010: Joined the team as an invited walkon for the start of fall, 2010 camp ... was a regular on the UW travel squad as a backup tight end and also a long snapper ... didn't see any game action and redshirted his true freshman season ... participated in spring football in 2011, but was also a pitcher on the Husky baseball team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Helped the Braves to the 4A state semifinals as a senior, teaming with fellow Huskies Colin Porter and Michael Hartvigson ... earned three football letters as a defensive end and tight end ... first-team All-KingCo at both positions and first-team all-state tight end as a senior ... also first-team all-league tight end and second-team at DE as a junior ... as a baseball player, posted a 6-1 record on the mound as a senior ... helped team to the state tournament as a sophomore ... honorable mention All-KingCo 4A as a senior in 2010 ... also honorable mention All-KingCo as a junior ... played football for coach Tom Bainter.
