UW Crew Set for Annual Pair Head and Head of the Lake Races

Seattle, WA -- The men's and women's crew compete in the annual Pair Head and Head of the Lake Races this weekend. The Pair Head race is slated for Saturday morning at 8 a.m., featuring nine women's pairs competing with four pairs from Oregon State. On the men's side, eight pairs will compete against each other. The race begins in Lake Union and finishes in front of the UW shellhouse.
On Sunday at 8 a.m., Washington will host shells from the Pacific-10 Oregon State, Stanford, Oregon, and California as well as crew from Gonzaga, UC Davis, Western Washington, PLU, UPS, Willamette, and British Columbia. The men's race will feature eight-man shells and two four-man boats. The women will race eight-man shells. The races also start in Lake Union and finishes at the UW shellhouse.
