Physical Form
SEATTLE - The Washington men's and women's crew teams are looking for walk-ons. For students interested in learning more, Husky rowers will be meeting prospective walk-ons at Lander and Haggett Hall on Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m., and they will accompany them to Conibear Shellhouse for an informational meeting. No prior rowing experience is necessary. The Huskies have a storied tradition of walk-ons contributing and ascending to great heights within the program. In the last two years, walk-ons have rowed in the freshman eight boat that won National Championships. Kerry Simmonds, a former walk-on, became a world champion this summer with the USA women's 8+ at the U-23 World Championships in Brest, Belarus. Students who plan on attending the meeting should print out the forms attached above and bring them to Conibear Shellhouse, along with a photocopy of an insurance card. If you have any questions, please contact men's freshman coach Luke McGee at lmcgee@u.washington.edu. We look forward to meeting you. |
