Awarded Most Outstanding GPA for receiving the highest GPA of student athletes for the 2011 Winter Quarter. Junior ('12-'13): Coxed the Championship 4+ to silver at the Head of the Charles; Won in the Championship 4+ at Head of the Lake. Sophomore ('11-'12): Coxed the MV4+ to wins over WWU and at the Cal Duel; set a course record on the Cooper River in the MO4+ to win the IRA regatta. Steered the UW boat in the Varsity Four race at the Windermere Cup Regatta; Coxed the sophomore shell in the George M. Varnell Men's Eight at the Class Day Regatta. Freshman ('10-'11): Coxed the 2nd Freshman eight in the Varsity-Freshman Challenge event at the Class Day Regatta. Personal: Son of Steven and Nancy Klein. Father is a neurosurgeon and mother is a reproductive endocrinologist. Has three younger siblings: Alex, Isabel, and Hannah. Interests include skiing, hiking, climbing, photography, and traveling. His father graduated from the University of Washington. |
