SEATTLE - Scott Suggs from the men's basketball team has been named the GoHuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 25-March 3. Suggs (Washington, Mo.) scored 23 points, one off his career high, to help the Huskies beat cross-state rival Washington State 72-68 on Sunday. Suggs was 7-for-10 from the field, 5-of-8 from 3-point range (.625) and hit 4-of-5 free throws. He was instrumental down the stretch when he broke a 57-57 tie with 4:07 remaining by hitting his career-high tying fifth 3-pointer. The bucket started an 8-0 run over the next 1:30 -- 7 points of which were scored by Suggs - that gave the Huskies a lead they would never relinquish. Suggs has scored 39 point over the last two games, the most he has scored in consecutive games during his career. Other nominees include: Kaitlin Inglesby (softball), Robert Pehl (baseball), Kyle McMorrow (men's tennis), Aminah Williams (women's basketball), SooBin Kim (women's golf) and Andjela Nemcevic (women's tennis).
