Washington-WSU History
Since their first meeting in 1910, Washington holds a 172-100 advantage over their cross-state rivals, with a record of 99-35 when UW has hosted the game. WSU enjoyed a string of success last decade though, as they downed UW seven-straight games from 2006-08 and won both of the teams' regular season meetings last year. However, when the two teams met in the Pac-10 tournament for just the second time in their history, the Huskies won 89-87 on their way to winning a second consecutive Pac-10 tournament. WSU won the last time at Alaska Airlines Arena, 80-69, makinge Lorenzo Romar 5-4 all-time at home vs. WSU. Romar is 10-10 in all games vs. WSU and Ken Bone is 2-6 all-time against UW, including an 0-3 record as head coach of Portland State.

UW rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit and came away with an 89-87 win in the quarterfinals of the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament at Staples Center on March 10, 2011. UW opened the second half with a 10-0 run in the opening 2:14. From there, it was a thriller, with five ties and six lead changes. The Huskies overcame Klay Thompson, who scored a tournament record 43 points. Isaiah Thomas finished with 21 points (16 in the second half) and 11 assists. He scored three late baskets including a lay-up with nine seconds to go that sealed the win. Five UW players scored in double figures. Justin Holiday finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Terrence Ross added 17 points and C.J. Wilcox had 16 points with five 3-pointers. Four of those came in the second half.

Did You Know ... ???
In Washington's 10 wins C.J. Wilcox is 30-of-34 from the free throw line (88.2%), but in UW's six losses he has attempted just 6 free throws? The good news...he has made all 6 of those attempts. Wilcox is currently shooting 90% from the line (36x40) to lead the conference in the category and is on pace to break the season record of 89.7% by Don Vaughn in 1978.
