Washington led 38-35 at halftime and is now 21-3 this season when leading at the half. The score was tied 14-14, with 9:54 left in the first half, the remainder of the Huskies 71 points came in the game's final 30 minutes.
This is Washington's first win this season on a neutral court. Washington earlier this year lost to Kansas and Florida at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
Jon Brockman moved into third-place on the school's career scoring chart with his first basket of the game (16:39 in first half). With his team-high 20 points, and eight rebounds, he now has a career-point total of 1,762. His school career record in rebounds (1,245) is fourth in Pac-10 history. He's the only player in UW history and fourth in Pac-10 history, to surpass 1,700 career points and 1,200 rebounds. His 58 career-double doubles is most of any active collegiate player.
Matthew Bryan-Amaning's career-high three blocked shots gives him nine blocked shots in the last five games.
Quincy Pondexter's 11 points and Isaiah Thomas' 14 points all came in the second half. Thomas, who set a school freshman record in scoring (491), had a career-high nine rebounds.
Washington's .556% effort from the three-point line (5-9), is its second-best this season (.571, 4-7 vs. Morgan State).
UW beat Stanford three times this year, including (84-83/Seattle) and (75-68/Palo Alto). Stanford does lead the series 69-62. Husky coach Lorenzo Romar is 9-8 vs. Stanford, winning the last three games in the series.
This is Washington's sixth consecutive win, have won nine of the last 10.
The Huskies are the No. 1 seed for first time in the Pac-10 Tournament.
