"Senque is one of the premier point guards in a league that has a great history of point guards. We hope he shows a continuation of the aggressiveness in all aspects of the game that he showed in the second half of the season last year. He should take advantage of the experience he gained last year, running the team primarily, scoring the ball, defending and just being a true point guard on the floor. In past years there has been a concern about who would be the point guard and how productive they would be. We don't have those questions with Senque going into this year. Senque's play last year and the experience he gained, especially in the second half of the season, will be critical to this year's success and his individual improvement."

    Senque Carey last year became the second guard in Washington history to be voted to the All-Pac-10 Freshman Team since the coaches began voting in 1984. The only other Husky guard to earn all-freshman acclaim was Eldridge Recasner in 1987.
