SEATTLE - Anyone driving past Husky Ballpark in recent weeks will have noticed considerable progress being made on the new UW Baseball Team Building. The new building will house the Huskies' locker room, training room, study area, coaches' offices and a 1,400-square foot meeting room. The $4-million facility is the first stage of new construction at Husky Ballpark, which opened in 1998. The 9,000-square foot team building is slated to open next spring. A second phase of construction will add permanent stadium seating, press box, concourse and concession areas.
