SEATTLE - The University of Washington baseball game scheduled for Friday vs. UC Irvine has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 12 noon PST, to make up for the missed game.

The Huskies are slated to send sophomore right-hander Jorden Merry (1-1, 3.97 ERA) to the mound in game one to face off with Anteaters righty Scott Gorgen (2-0, 4.50).

In Saturday's second game, the starting pitching matchup features Husky southpaw Nick Haughian (0-1, 4.15) vs. Irvine's Wes Etheridge (4-0, 1.90) while on Sunday, in a 1:00 p.m. series finale, UW sophomore lefty Tyler Cheney (0-0, 2.57) will square off against a yet-to-be-determined UCI starter.

Following this weekend's series, the Huskies continue their 12-game homestand vs. Southern Utah, who visits Husky Stadium at 5:00 p.m. Monday and 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Live stats and either live audio or video of all five upcoming games will be available here at gohuskies.com.
