SEATTLE - Over the last few weeks, we've been introducing Husky Baseball fans to the class of 2013 - those high-school seniors who signed National Letters of Intent to enroll at the UW next fall and play on the 2014 Husky team.

The 10th of our 10 signees is Mitch Bevacqua, an infielder from Lake City, Idaho. Bevacqua, who's uncle Kurt played 15 seasons in the big leagues, hit .415 with 12 doubles and 22 RBI last year. He's been an all-state selection and has played in the Area Code Games.

"Mitch is a three-sport athlete who has never had the opportunity to play baseball year-round," UW coach Lindsay Meggs said. "Mitch is talented and Mitch is raw, but you know it's in there. We know it, the pro guys know it, anyone who has seen Mitch knows it. He is a right-handed hitting middle infielder with juice who can run. Mitch will make an impact the day he shows up. I can't wait."

Here's a look at Mitch:
