All-Pac-10 honorable mention ... led the team with 20 walks and was second in runs (37) and doubles (15) ... began the year on fire at the plate and was batting over .400 as late as mid-April ... batted .467 (28-for-60) through the first 17 games of the season … in the season-opening win over BYU, singled to drive in the tying run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to cap a 3-for-4 day ... 3-for-5 two games later vs. Illinois ... in game one of the UC Riverside series, went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a double ... 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBI in game two vs. Southern Utah ... batted 3-for-4 in the first game of the March 19 doubleheader sweep of USC then went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in the nightcap ... also went 2-for-4 with a solo HR the following day in a win over Washington State ... 2-for-2 with two doubles, two walks and a hit by pitch in the next WSU game... went 11-for-18 (.611) with five runs and four RBI in the four-game series at Hawaii-Hilo ... 5-for-11 with a double, a homer and three RBI in the three-game series at Oregon State ... broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run double vs. Portland May 9 ... tabbed as the Pac-10’s best infield arm by Baseball America prior to the season ... 2000 (RS-Sophomore) -- After missing the 1999 season due to transfer rules, started more games (54 of 56) than any other Husky in 2000 … the everyday starter at third base … stole 10 bases on 11 attempts … began the season in high style, going 3-for-4 with two triples and three runs in the season opener … hit a two-run home run in game two … belted a three-run homer vs. Oregon State on March 5 … 3-for-5 with two runs, three RBI and a homer in the 16-6 win at Washington State … also homered the next day at WSU in the come-from-behind 8-7 win … , the following game, went 2-for-4 with a a homer and three RBI in the Huskies’ 6-2 win over Arizona … broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning of that game with the home run … 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBI in the 9-7 win over Lewis-Clark State … had a mid-season, 14-game hitting streak during which he batted .373 (22-for-59) with 14 RBI … played a role in the UW’s huge comeback win at Wichita State when the Huskies entered the ninth down 10-8 and scored seven runs … singled in the tying run and then scored in that game ... had a season-high four hits (4-for-5) with five RBI (also a season high) May 16 vs. Gonzaga … had four one-inning pitching outings, holding the opponent scoreless in two of them … 1999 (Sophomore) -- Forced to redshirt the season due to transfer rules ... over the summer, starred for Beatrice (Neb.) in the MINK League, leading the Bruins to the league and regional titles and 10th place at the NBC World Series ... at the World Series, batted .563 (9-for-16).
