WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-12 announced its postseason cross country awards today, with Huskies Lindsay Flanagan and Megan Goethals each earning All-Pac-12 Second Team honors. The two were the top UW finishers at the Pac-12 Championships in late October, and again led the team at the NCAA Championships last weekend.

The All-Pac-12 Team is solely based on finish at the Pac-12 Championships, with the top seven finishers earning First Team honors and the eighth through 14th finishers earning Second Team distinction. Goethals, the junior from Rochester, Mich., was 12th overall at Pac-12s in her first race of the season with barely any workouts under her belt. Flanagan, the senior from Roselle, Ill., finished a career-best 14th at the conference race in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Goethals went on to lead the Huskies at the NCAA Championships on Saturday in Louisville, as she finished 48th overall, with Flanagan the second Husky across in 74th-place. The women's team finished in ninth-place, its fifth top-10 finish in the last six years.

The Huskies have placed at least one runner on the All-Pac-12 team in every year since the inception of the team in 1999, and UW has had at least two runners honored for seven years in a row.

Go Huskies!
