Women's XC Squad Earns Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS - The Husky women's cross country team was named a 2012 All-Academic Team this week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Huskies took ninth at the NCAA Championships last November. Washington carried a cumulative team grade point average of 3.39 through the fall quarter. A GPA of 3.00 or higher is required to earn All-Academic distinction from the USTFCCCA. As an individual, Husky junior Justine Johnson also earned All-Academic acclaim. She has maintained a 3.71 GPA while majoring in English and History. Johnson was 18th at the NCAA West Regional meet, earning a third straight All-West Region honor, and she placed 15th at the Pac-12 Championships. |
