Eclectic Freshman Class Energizes Husky Men

Nearly half of Washington's roster are true freshmen who have

2011-12: Redshirted the cross country season to preserve a year of eligibility, competing in three races unattached ... finished 37th in his first college race at the Sundodger Invite at Lincoln Park ... had a strong run at the Emerald City Open in Woodland Park, finishing fourth overall in 26:44 on the hilly course ... ran well again at the Mike Hodges Invite, finishing fifth in 20:43 for four-miles ... did not compete during the track season.

High School and Personal: Born in Seattle ... parents are Diane and Paul Wozniak ... has two sisters, Hayley and Hanna ... enjoyed an excellent senior track season, winning the KingCo league title at 1,600-meters in a PR of 4:23.63, and winning the 3,200-meter title in 9:26.62 ... went on to finish eighth at the Washington 4A State track meet in the 3,200m in a personal best time of 9:21.26 ... second in the 3,200-meters at the 2010 KingCo meet as a junior ... competed three times at the Washington 4A State cross country meet, with a best finish of 32nd his junior season ... graduated with a 3.5 grade point average.
