NCAA Trips At Stake At West Regionals

The Husky women have claimed the past three West Regional titles.

2010-11: Stepped up big for the Huskies in the postseason, running in the top-five for the first time at the Pac-10 Championships, where he placed 43rd overall ... continued to run well at West Regionals, as he placed 49th overall, fourth among Huskies, in a time of 31:06 for 10k as UW placed sixth overall after coming in ranked just 15th ... began the year with a 28th-place finish at the Sundodger Invite ... (Track): Developed into the top steeplechaser for the Huskies, qualifying for the NCAA West Prelims where he finished 36th out of 48 competitors in a time of 9:14.58 in Eugene ... scored at the Pac-10 Championships, finishing eighth in the steeple in 9:18.25 ... set his steeple PR in a critical victory in the UW-WSU dual, as he held on for a close win in 8:57.32, good for a four-point swing in UW's three point victory ... also ran well at the Pepsi Team Invitational, finishing third in the steeple in 9:09.07 ... ran 3:52.12 in an early 1,500-meter run at Stanford ... redshirted indoors, competing just once unattached, running a solid mile time of 4:12.43 at the UW Indoor Preview.

2009-10: Did not compete during the fall season ... (Track): Had a busy outdoor season in the mid-distances after competing just once indoors ... first official competition was a 3:55.95 1,500-meter run at the Stanford Invitational ... competed at the Pac-10 Championships at 800-meters, and ran a season-best time of 1:51.10 in the prelims to place 16th overall ... was runner-up at the Ken Shannon Invite in the 800m, crossing in 1:51.97 ... took fourth in the 1,500m in poor conditions at the UW-WSU dual in 3:58.44 ... redshirted the indoor season, competing just once unattached, a 4:17.83 mile at the UW Final Qualifier.

High School and Personal: Born in Anchorage, Alaska ... parents are Jane Malnoske and John Miller ... has one older sister, Maggie, and three younger sisters, Katie, Jordan, and Mickayla ... sister Maggie runs for the College of Idaho ... a two-state champion in both cross country and track, claiming titles in both Alaska and Washington ... the 2006 and 2007 Alaska 3A state cross country champion, and then transferred to Mt. Rainier and won the Washington 3A state cross country title in 2008 ... captured both the 800-meter and 1600-meter 3A state titles as a senior in 2009 ... competed at the 2007 and 2008 Footlocker West Regionals, taking 15th in 2008 ... won three Seamount League and three West District titles in the 800m and 1600m during two years at Mt. Rainier ... 20th at the 2008 Borderclash ... also lettered three years in both wrestling and basketball ... won an Alaska state wrestling title at 140-pounds ... graduated with a 3.2 GPA.
