2010-11: Had a big impact in his first official cross country season, scoring for the Huskies at five of six meets during the fall ... was Washington's No. 5 runner at NCAA West Regionals in his first 10k, placing 61st overall to help UW to sixth ... ran at his first Pac-10 Championships, placing 49th in 24:48 at Jefferson Park Golf Course ... made the travel party for the first time for the Notre Dame Invite, and was the second Husky across, finishing 74th overall ... fifth among Huskies at the Sundodger Invite, clocking an 8k PR of 24:32 to place 13th ... started the year with a fifth-place effort in the UW-WSU dual, fourth among Huskies, aiding the team win ... High School and Personal: Born in Los Alamos, New Mexico ... parents are Margot and Paul Gilna ... the youngest of four children, all of whom have run in college ... older brother Simon currently runs as a junior at Northern Arizona ... older sister Naomi ran for Gonzaga and competed at UW's Sundodger Invitational, while oldest brother Matthew ran for USC ... swept the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m at the New Mexico 4A State Championships as a senior, only the second runner to ever pull off the feat, and was chosen as a Sports Illustrated "Faces in the Crowd" for his efforts ... second at the state cross country meet as a senior, and was also seventh as a junior and fourth as a sophomore ... team won state xc title as a junior ... placed 18th at Nike Team Nationals in Portland as a junior in 2007 after finishing 62nd at the same meet as a sophomore.
