SEATTLE - Just north of Husky Soccer Field, crews continue work on the new outdoor track and field facility. Recently, dozens of piles were driven down into the earth to stabilize the ground for a platform which will be installed to support the track. The new facility is slated for completion approximately at the start of the 2012 school year. For this spring season, the Huskies are ready to be road warriors. The outdoor season opened in Los Angeles two weeks ago and this week UW heads to Eugene for the Pepsi Team Invitational, which puts Washington in a scoring team battle against Oregon, Texas A&M, and UCLA. |
