02/03/2012 Track And Field Captain's Blog - Feb. 3The Husky sprint captains send in an update before competing this weekend in Idaho. 01/26/2012 UW Invitational Kicks Indoor Season To High GearThe top heats on the track run from 2:45 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. 01/05/2012 Season Preview: SprintersThe men's team returns a handful of All-Americans while the women are led by a school-record-holding senior. 2011: Ran just once unattached during the indoor season. 2010: Competed at his third Pac-10 Championships, and scored as part of UW's 4x400m relay, which was seventh in 3:17.35 ... took 14th in the 400-meter hurdles at Pac-10s ... also ran lead-off for UW's fastest 4x4 of the season, which clocked 3:15.67 at the Ken Shannon Invite ... clocked a season-best 400m hurdles time of 54.59 at the Ken Shannon ... won the intermediate hurdles at the Mondo Invite in a time of 55.57 ... seventh at the Pepsi Team Invitational in the hurdles with a time of 54.93 ... competed five times indoors, mostly in the open 400m and the 4x400m relay ... finished 13th at the MPSF Championships in the 400-meters with a season-best time of 49.51 seconds ... second up on the top indoor 4x4 relay which ran 3:17.96 to take fourth at the Husky Classic. 2009: Again competed at the Pac-10 Championships, placing 16th in the 400m hurdles ... set a personal best in the 400m hurdles at the UW-WSU dual, finishing fourth in 53.17 ... won the Ralph Vernacchia Meet 400m hurdles in 53.81 ... also ran the lead-off leg on every 4x400m relay outdoors, with a best time of 3:14.14 at the WSU dual ... indoors, scored on UW's 4x400m relay at the MPSF Championships as the Huskies took fifth in 3:13.53 ... 21st in the 400m dash at MPSFs ... ran career-best 400-meters at the Husky Classic, clocking 48.76. 2008: Concentrated on the 400-meters during the indoor season before tackling the 400m hurdles outdoors ... earned his way to the Pac-10 Championships where he placed 15th overall in the 400m hurdles in a season-best time of 53.85 seconds ... placed second in the 400m IH at the Oregon Invitational ... won the 400m IH at the UW Outdoor Preview and the PLU Invitational ... top 400m time indoors of 49.64 at the UW Invitational. High School and Personal: Born in Seattle ... parents are Sue Ellen and Phil Timpe ... has one younger brother, Braden ... placed third at the Washington state high school championships in the 300m hurdles as a senior, in a personal-best time of 38.6 seconds ... also was ninth at state the same year in the 110m hurdles ... placed first in both SPSL league and West Central District III in the 300m hurdles ... also lettered in cross country as a senior ... graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
