Season Preview: Distances

All-Americans Flood and Goethals lead the women while a number of veteran Husky men are poised for breakout seasons.

2011: Redshirted the season to preserve a year of eligibility, competing once indoors and out ... ran the 800-meters at the Ken Shannon Invite in 2:20.10 ... also finished 600-meters indoors at the UW Indoor Preview, crossing in 1:42.42.

High School and Personal: Born in Vancouver, Washington ... parents are Vicki and Scott Sonners ... has two older sisters, Kathryn Tuttle and Holly Myers, and two older brothers, Michael and Scott Sonners ... competed just two years in track, after lettering three years in basketball ... took ninth in the Washington 3A State Championships 800-meters as a senior ... ran a PR of 2:19 in the Greater St. Helens League meet, taking second overall ... lowered her PR by six seconds between junior and senior years ... also qualified for state as a senior as part of the 4x400m relay ... named Second Team All-League and Most Inspirational ... ran just one year of cross country as a senior, but placed 12th at the league meet and 80th at the 2009 3A Washington State Championships ... named First Team All-League for basketball in 2009 ... a National Scholar Athlete in 2010 ... graduated with a 4.0 grade point average ... considering a major in bioengineering.
