More Records Fall As MPSF Comes To A Close

Seven meet records, four facility records, three UW school records, and 17 NCAA Auto marks in two days.

2011-12 (Cross Country): Did not compete during the fall season

2010-11: Started her second outdoor season with a huge personal-best at 800-meters, as she ran 2:10.05 at the Pepsi Team Invitational to place sixth ... that time was the fastest by a Husky all season ... competed at her first Pac-10 Championship meet, placing 11th in the 800m in 2:12.13 ... also ran on the 4x400m relay at Pac-10s, which took seventh in 3:48.59 ... cut her 400-meter PR down to 57.20 with a second-place finish at the Ken Shannon Invite ... fourth in the UW-WSU dual at 800-meters in 2:17.07 ... also ran on the second-place 4x4 at the dual meet and the fifth-place 4x4 at the Pepsi Team Invite ... indoors, had a best 800-meter time of 2:15.85 at the UW Final Qualifier, placing 13th ... also a Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention ... (Cross Country): Started off the year with a 20th-place finish at the UW-WSU dual meet in Ephrata ... finished 65th at the Sundodger Invitational at Lincoln Park ... ran to a 31st-place finish at the Emerald City Open at Woodland Park ... earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.

2009-10: Busy first season running the 400-meters, 800-meters, and several 4x400-meter relays ... top 400-meter time outdoors was 58.63 seconds at the Mondo Invitational, placing seventh ... part of the winning 4x4 relay at the Ken Shannon Invite ... took 16th at the Ken Shannon in the 800-meters in 2:23.85 ... indoors, ran on UW's ninth-place 4x400 relay which ran 3:50.10 ... season-best 400-meters of 58.57 at the UW Final Qualifier, good for second-place ... posted her best 800-meters at the UW Invitational indoors, stopping the clock at 2:19.82 ... (Cross Country): Did not compete during the fall, utilizing her redshirt year.

High School and Personal: Born in Portland, Oregon ... parents are Jan and Greg Schmitt ... has one sister, Camille ... a three-time Oregon state 4A champion at 400-meters, winning by more than a second as a senior in 57.27 ... two-time Team MVP and League MVP her junior and senior years and earned Spirit of Champion Award as a senior ... also was a three-time state qualifier in the 200-meters, taking second at state as a senior ... a six-time league champion ... also lettered three years in soccer, being named league MVP and first team All-State in 2008 ... OHSU student-athlete of the week in 2007 ... won the Big Sister Award at graduation ... graduated with a 3.8 GPA.
