02/03/2012 Track And Field Captain's Blog - Feb. 3The Husky sprint captains send in an update before competing this weekend in Idaho. 01/05/2012 Season Preview: SprintersThe men's team returns a handful of All-Americans while the women are led by a school-record-holding senior. 2011: Was the alternate on the 4x100-meter relay at the NCAA Outdoor Championships ... won the 400-meter dash at the Ken Shannon Invite in a season-best time of 49.88 seconds ... ran on the 4x100m relay at Stanford which took second in 41.33 seconds, and on the 4x400m relay which was second in 3:12.89 ... indoors, scored at the MPSF Championships on the 4x400m relay, which took fourth in a season-best 3:12.17 ... 21st in the 400-meters at MPSFs in 49.68 ... season-best indoor time of 49.48 to take second at the UW Final Qualifier. 2010: Competed in three events at his first Pac-10 Championships, including both relays ... ran the lead-off leg on UW's 4x100-meter relay, which was the last team to qualify for the NCAA Championship West Prelims but then upset nine teams to finish 15th overall with a huge season-best of 40.14 seconds ... 4x1 relay took sixth at Pac-10s in 40.53 and the 4x400m relay was seventh in 3:17.35 ... also took 16th in the 400-meters in 49.82 ... ran a season-best 400-meters at the UW-WSU dual, clocking 49.68 for fifth place ... indoors, scored at the MPSF Championships, running the 400 leg in the distance medley relay, as the Huskies took fifth in a season-best time of 9:47.01 ... part of the fourth-place 4x4 team at the Husky Classic, running 3:17.96 ... ran best indoor 400m time of 49.80 at the Husky Classic. 2009: Showed great improvement during the indoor season, setting PRs at 200m and 400m ... fastest 400m dash came at the MPSF Championships, where he placed 10th in 48.68 ... also ran on the 4x400m relay at MPSFs, with the quartet placing fifth ... ran lead-off on UW's fastest 4x4 of the year at the Husky Classic, going 3:11.11 to place first ... best 200m time of 22.37 came at UW Last Chance Qualifier ... competed once unattached outdoors at the Ken Shannon Invite. 2008: Redshirted both seasons but saw action in the 200- and 400-meters running unattached ... turned in a season-best 400-meter time of 49.61 in poor weather at the Ken Shannon Invite, placing fourth. High School and Personal: Swept the Washington 2A State titles in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes as a senior ... did not lose a 400-meter race as a senior ... also captured the 2A state titles in the 100m and 200m dashes as a junior ... won Olympic League and West Central District titles in the 100, 200 and 400 ... also an all-league defensive back on the football team.
