Preview Looks Promising For Husky Track

Washington wins 4x800-meter relays as indoor season hits the ground running.

2011: Ran the quarter mile indoors and out in her first season ... top time of the year in the 400-meters came at the Oregon Relays, where she placed 10th in 59.18 seconds ... seventh at the Ken Shannon Invite in 59.21 seconds ... fifth in the UW-WSU dual 400-meters, running 59.71 ... won the Spring Break Open in 59.90 ... indoors, was third at the UW Final Qualifier, clocking a 59.41 ... indoor best of 59.36 at the Husky Classic.

High School and Personal: Born in Cleveland, Ohio ... parents are Anita and Marc Oden ... has a younger brother Marc, and younger sister Dajah ... cousin Tony Oden played college football and is an assistant secondary coach for the New Orleans Saints ... an outstanding all-around athlete, lettered all four years in volleyball and basketball in addition to track, going to state in every sport ... was the runner-up at the Washington 4A State Championships in 2008 as a sophomore in the 400-meters, running a PR of 56.67 ... also took third in the 4x400m relay at the 2008 state meet and fifth in the 4x100m relay ... in 2009, ran on the sixth-place 4x400m relay, and took seventh in the open 400-meters while also qualifying in the 200-meters and 4x100-meters ... was named second team All-WesCo in volleyball as a middle blocker, and reached the state tourney as a junior ... also named All-WesCo second team in basketball, and led Marysvill-Pilchuck to state for the first time in 13 years in 2010 as the only senior ... named top defensive player in basketball ... was elected class president three times and graduated with a 3.5 grade point average ... interested in studying environmental science.
