01/09/2013 Season Preview: Multis, Jumps, VaultGoHuskies.com takes a look at the Husky track prospects this week with the UW Indoor Preview coming up on Saturday. 2011-12 (At Monterey Peninsula College): A two-time All-American in the decathlon at the junior college level ... as a sophomore, he ranked second in the nation in the decathlon with a personal-best score of 6,675 points, set in a second-place finish at the 2012 Junior College State Meet ... third at state his freshman year with a decathlon score of 6,457 ... named 2011 MPC Athlete of the Year ... also ran 400m hurdles, winning the Nor-Cal Championship Trials in 2011 with a time of 54.88 seconds. High School and Personal: Born in Monterey, California ... parents are Abby and Jerry Pfeiffer ... has one older brother, Gabe ... won a pair of league titles in the long jump as a junior and senior as well as the league title in the 300m hurdles his senior season ... sixth in the long jump at the Central Coast Section finals in 2009, going 21-8 ½ ... fifth in the 300m hurdles finals at the CCS meet in 2010 and ninth in the long jump ... lettered three years in soccer ... graduated with a 3.81 GPA.
