» Miller Vaults To Nationals As Licari Listens In(GoHuskies.com; May 27, 2011)

2011: Enjoyed a huge breakthrough at the end of the outdoor season, qualifying for her first NCAA Championships and going on to place 11th at nationals to earn All-America Second Team honors ... headed to the NCAA West Prelims in Eugene with an outdoor PR of 13-0 ¾, ranking her 63rd nationally and 36th in the west region, but she cleared three consecutive outdoor PRs to finish seventh and move on to the finals in Iowa ... needed to clear 13-5 ¼, which she did on her first attempt, to clinch a top-12 finish at Prelims ... that clearance moved her into a tie for fifth on the school's top-10 list ... she matched that 13-5 ¼ mark at the NCAA finals to place 11th overall, becoming the first Husky woman vaulter to earn All-America honors since 2008, and the first outdoors since 2005 ... prior to her NCAA Prelims performance, her outdoor best was 13-0 ¾, which she cleared twice earlier in the season, once in a victory at the UW-WSU dual meet, and again at the Pac-10 Championships, where she finished eighth ... cleared 12-9 at the Beach Invitational for third-place ... won the Ken Shannon Invite vault with a 12-6 ¾ jump ... indoors, made the 13-foot barrier for the first time at the MPSF Championships, when she vaulted 13-1 ¾, though incredibly that was only good for 10th-place in a deep field ... that indoor mark ranks her eighth in UW history ... also made 12-11 ¾ at the UW Final Qualifier to place ninth, and cleared 12-10 at the Husky Classic for 11th.

2010: Great freshman season saw her score for the Dawgs at the Pac-10 Championships and clear 12-feet in the pole vault at six of seven meets ... tied for eighth at her first Pac-10 Championships in Berkeley, clearing an outdoor-best 12-6 ¼ in the pole vault, the 10th-best mark outdoors in school history ... won the pole vault in the UW-WSU dual, clearing 12-feet, 4-inches ... also cleared 12-4 at the Pepsi Team Invitational to take second, and went over 12-4 at the Ken Shannon Invite for third ... set a new personal-best indoors when she won the UW Indoor Open, going 12-9 ½ ... that clearance ties for ninth in indoor school history ... went up and over 12-7 ½ at the MPSF Championships for 12th-place ... cleared 12-feet in her collegiate debut, going 12-0 ¾ at the UW Indoor Preview for sixth ... competed at the U.S. Junior Championships in Des Moines in July but did not clear a bar.

High School and Personal: Born in Reno, Nevada ... parents are Tenley and Jade Miller... has one older brother, Austin, and one older sister, Quinn ... lettered 3 years ... was the Regional pole vault champion sophomore through senior year... was the Nevada 4A state champion her junior and senior year ... also served as team captain her junior and senior years, leading the team to 1st-place state meet finishes both years, and was Team MVP as a senior ... was named Nevada's female vaulter of the year her junior and senior year ... set her personal record at the 2009 Golden West Invitational in Folsom, California, winning with a jump of 12-5 ½ ... also competed in level 10 gymnastics, finishing in the top-10 at the level 9 national meet... graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
