One of the top distance runners in the nation, the Spokane standout just earned a spot on Team USA for the 2013 IAAF World Junior Cross Country Championships (Mar. 24 in Poland), after she placed fourth at the U.S. Junior Championships on Feb. 2 in St. Louis ... took third at the prestigious Nike Cross Nationals in both 2011 and 2012, first out of the Northwest region both years, after placing eighth as a sophomore and 16th as a freshman in 2009 ... won the Washington 3A state cross country title in 2011 as a junior, and was second in 2009, 2010, and 2012, all three times taking second to Amy-Eloise Neale, also signing with the Huskies ... the Greater Spokane League cross country champ from 2010-12 ... Running Times ranked her the No. 6 individual nationally for 2012 ... named the Washington Gatorade Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Year for 2011 ... won state titles on the track in 2012 in both the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meters, after taking second in those two events in both her freshman and sophomore seasons ... won the Nike Border Clash cross country title in 2011, leading Washington to the win over Oregon along with fellow future Huskies Neale and Maddie Meyers ... placed fourth at the 2011 U.S. Junior Track Championships in the 3,000-meters ... competed for Team USA at the 2012 Great Edinburgh Cross Country International Challenge in Scotland, placing fourth overall and helping the junior women's team take the title ... as a sophomore, took seventh at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the mile run in 4:48.48 and 10th in the two-mile finals in 10:31 ... chose UW over Stanford and Colorado.
