Coach Metcalf On Coughlin
Jamie is someone with a ton of potential who is just starting to scratch the surface. He was top-five at the Washington state championships in the fall. He has improved every year and he really wanted to be a Husky and we are very happy to welcome him to our group.


The fifth-place finisher at the Washington 4A state cross country championships this past fall as a senior, after winning the Kingco and district cross country titles for the first time ... ran in the high school section at UW's own Sundodger Invitational, placing second overall in 2012 ... ran at the Nike Team Nationals Northwest Regional, finishing 32nd overall in 2012 ... also was 22nd at the state cross country race as a junior in 2011 and 65th as a sophomore, showing great improvement each year ... last spring as a junior, finished seventh in the state track finals at 3,200-meters, running a personal-best time of 9:18.40 ... clocked a 1,600m best of 4:18.25 at the Shoreline Invite in 2012.
