Gilna Features 2011-12 (Cross Country): One of the top runners on the squad in his second full season ... had his best race at the inaugural Pac-12 Championships in Arizona, placing 27th overall and second among Huskies in a time of 24:03 ... the Pac-12 finish was an improvement of 22 spots from the previous year ... also was the second UW finisher at the Wisconsin Invitational, placing 88th overall in the massive field ... had a fall at NCAA Regionals and wound up 113th overall as the fifth Husky finisher in 31:46 for the 10k ... work in the classroom netted Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention. 2010-11: Impressive first season after redshirting the previous year ... qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Championships in the 800-meters, on the strength of his PR of 1:49.83 set at the UW-WSU dual meet where he took second ... did not have a great day at West Prelims, finishing 45th overall in 1:57.83 ... at the Oregon Relays, ran a 1,500-meter season-best of 3:50.78 to take sixth ... opened with a 1,500m run of 3:53.25 at the Stanford Invitational, taking second in the third section ... competed at his first Pac-10 Championships, placing 16th overall in the 1,500-meters ... ran just twice indoors, starting with a victory in the 800-meters at the UW Indoor Preview in a time of 1:52.37 ... did not run again until the MPSF Championships, where he was 14th in the 3,000-meters in 8:12.51 ... (Cross Country): Redshirted his first college season to preserve eligibility ... competed twice unattached, starting with a 16th-place effort at the Sundodger in 24:47 ... was the second-place finisher at the Emerald City Open, running 26:33 on the hilly Woodland Park course.
