Throws

Coach Crater On Boyden
Dan is a very athletic thrower with great size, and he comes from a very strong high school throws program. He has already done great things in the discus, and his shot put is gaining by the week to the point where he is going to be near the top of the high school list on both events. Dan is going to be someone we depend on for points for many years. If Dan ends his high school career with marks of 60-plus in the shot and near 200 in the discus, I won't be surprised.

One of the top returning throwers in the state of Washington ... placed fifth in both the shot put and discus at the 2012 4A state championships ... in the shot final, finished right behind fellow UW commit Carey Campbell and current UW freshman Jack Scheideman ... won the 2012 WesCo league title in the discus with a personal-best throw of 181-8, which was the No. 2 mark of the year in Washington across all classifications ... also took eighth in the shot and fifth in the discus at the 2011 state meet as a sophomore ... set shot put PR of 55-2 at the Stanwood Twilight Invite in 2012.

Personal Best Marks
Shot Put.......56-7
Discus.......181-8
