First Pac-12 Championships Bring Teams To Eugene

ROOT Sports will air a two-hour tape delayed broadcast of the meet this Thursday, May 17, at 1:30 p.m.

High School and Personal: Born in Seattle ... parents are Norma and Davin Clauson ... has one older sister, Danielle, who competed in basketball and track at the NAIA level ... an outstanding all-around athlete that is also one of the best pure javelin prospects in the nation ... won every local meet he entered in the javelin as a junior and senior, including winning the 1A state title three years in a row from 2009-2011 ... ranked 12th nationally as a senior in 2011 with a best mark of 208-0 and was 13th nationally in 2010 with a PR of 212-9 ½ set in the Washington State Multi-Event Championships ... placed third overall in the decathlon at that 2010 state multi-event meet with 5,784 points in his first full decathlon ... collected a total of nine individual 1A state titles over his career, three in the javelin, three in the 300m hurdles, two in the long jump, and one in the triple jump ... set a new long jump PR in winning state his senior year, going 23-4 ¼ which was fourth-best in the state at any level ... threw over 200-feet at six meets his senior season ... placed sixth in the javelin at the 2011 U.S. Junior Track Championships, throwing 203-1 ... was undefeated in 2010 and 2011 in the 300-meter hurdles with a top time of 38.95 seconds ... competed at 2010 USATF Junior Olympics in the javelin, placing third overall with a toss of 197-feet ... helped King's to the state team title all four years of his career ... also lettered in football from 2009-11.
