Season Preview: Distances

All-Americans Flood and Goethals lead the women while a number of veteran Husky men are poised for breakout seasons.

2011-12 (Cross Country): A consistent presence in Washington's top-seven during a solid sophomore season ... began the year with an eighth-place finish at the Sundodger Invite, a ten spot improvement from the previous year, and fourth among Huskies ... finished 56th at the inaugural Pac-12 Championships in Arizona, running 24:57 to finish sixth on the team ... sixth on the team again at NCAA West Regionals, placing 126th ... also ran sixth on the squad at the Roy Griak Invite in 118th-place ... ran in the B-race at the Wisconsin Invitational, finishing 38th overall.

2010-11: Ran the mile up through the 5,000-meters in first full track season ... placed fourth in the 3,000m at the UW-WSU dual meet in a time of 8:23.58 ... ran 3:55.43 in the 1,500-meters at the Oregon Relays ... indoors, finished with a strong mile time of 4:12.09 at the UW Final Qualifier ... ran a 5k PR of 14:32.36 at the MPSF Championships, 24th overall ... season-best 3k time of 8:23.21 at the Husky Classic ... 2009-10: 2010: Showed great progress during the course of the indoor season ... cut more than 40 seconds off his 3,000-meter time in just two weeks, running a personal-best time of 8:31.75 at the Husky Classic ... dropped more than five seconds off his previous mile time at the UW Final Qualifier with a 4:19.82 effort ... redshirted the outdoor season, competing three times unattached ... (Cross Country): Redshirted the season to preserve a year of eligibility, competing three times unattached ... finished 49th at the Sundodger in his first college meet ... was ninth at the Emerald City Open, the fifth-finisher from UW ... placed 41st at the Mike Hodges Invite in 21:15 for four-miles.
