2010: Competed in the pole vault and multi-events during the indoor season ... won the UW Indoor Open pole vault with a personal-best clearance of 16-0 ¾ ... finished his first heptathlon at the UW Invitational, scoring 4,702 points for 12th place overall ... his heptathlon score ranks sixth on the UW indoor Top-10 list ... redshirted the outdoor season and did not compete unattached.

High School and Personal: Born in Newport Beach, California ... parents are Ann and Thomas Borer ... has one younger brother, Tyler ... a two-time state 3A Washington State pole vault champion as a junior and a senior and Team MVP ... also took fifth at the state multi-event championship as a senior and was fourth as a junior in the decathlon ... also lettered in football from 2006-2008.
