Coach Crater On Brosseau
Beau is a great score for us. Going into the heart of Duck country and coming out with Beau is fantastic. Beau is an intense, passionate athlete who is going to help build the culture of success here within our throws group. He is one of the top returning shot putters in the U.S. this year, and he is going to only climb this year. He is also someone who can potentially help us in hammer and discus down the road. He comes from great coaching in high school, and he will be prepared to take on the Pac-12.

A rare talent that has shown equal potential in both the shot put and javelin ... won the Oregon 6A state championship in 2012 in the shot put, capping an undefeated season in that event ... his shot put best of 61-1 at the Oregon Relays was the No. 2 mark in the state of Oregon in 2012 ... that mark also ranked 28th nationally and sixth among non-seniors ... started his junior season off with a javelin PR of 194-7, but threw just twice more on the year due to arm soreness ... improved his shot put best by 10 feet from his sophomore to junior seasons after he was 12th in the shot at state in 2011 and seventh in the javelin.
