Huskies Collect Personal Bests In A Day At The Beach

UW turns its attention to the dual with the Cougars next weekend.

2011: Competed twice indoors and outdoors ... traveled to the Mt. SAC Relays, running 11.47 seconds in the 100-meter dash into a headwind ... ran on the 4x100m relay at the Beach Invitational, going 42.73 ... season-best 60-meter time indoors of 7.25 seconds at the UW Indoor Preview.

High School and Personal: Born in Ontario, Oregon ... parents are Wendy and Charlie Anthony ... has two older brothers, Chuck and JJ ... the top sprinter in the state of Oregon the past two years ... swept the Oregon 4A state championships at 100- and 200-meters in 2009 and 2010 ... clocked his 100m PR of 10.64 seconds at the Greater Oregon League Championships in 2009 ... ran a 200m best of 21.70 at the YMCA Team Idaho Invitational in 2010 ... also won the 400m dash at the Greater Oregon League meet in a PR of 49.44 in 2009 ... finished in the top-four at the state meet in both the 100m and 200m every year of his prep career ... anchored the state title-winning 4x100m relay team in 2009 ... led his team to runner-up finishes at state in 2009 and 2010 ... won 11 Greater Oregon League titles ... also lettered four years in football, four years in wrestling, and two in baseball ... led football team to the GOL title and state semifinals as a senior ... named All-League first team as a linebacker and honorable mention as a running back ... won Doc Sanders Award as best teammate senior year and earned the team's leadership award ... football team also made the state semis his freshman and sophomore years ... placed sixth at the state wrestling tourney at 160 pounds as a senior ... graduated with a 3.6 GPA.
