FEDERAL WAY, Wash.- Two Washington swimmers posted lifetime best marks Friday at the Spring Championships, including Kim Kripps and Jon Banker in the 100 meter butterfly.

Kripps finished in 70th place with a converted time of 57.52, while Banker finished 47th with a converted time of 50.25. Also swimming the event were Marisa Chang, Mason Amick and Bret Lundgaard. Chang finished in 48th with a converted time of 56.63. Amick finished 43rd with a converted time of 49.92, while Lundgaard was disqualified.

Kim Jasmer placed 23rd in the 400 meter freestyle with a converted time of 4:55.60, while Maryann Boosalis placed 42nd in the 100 meter breaststroke with a converted time of 1:06.26.

The UW women placed ninth in the 400 meter freestyle relay with a time of 4:27.27 behind the legs of Jasmer, Lindsay Sharp, Rebecca Rogers and Chang. The men placed sixth in the event with a time of 3:34.34 posted by Brenton Dowdy, Niko Micin, Anthony Falaniko and Lundgaard.

The Huskies wrap up competition at the Spring Championships Saturday. Washington will compete in the 200 meter IM, 50 meter freestyle, 800 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.

The meet is being held at the Weyerhaueser King County Aquatics Center with preliminary races at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
