Windermere Cup

The University of Washington and Windermere Real Estate Company are excited to host the crews of the Men's and Women's Brazilian Rowing Federation, University of Miami Women's Team, and the Oregon State University Men's team to compete against the University of Washington in the 2009 Windermere Cup races.

The races are in conjunction with the Opening Day of Boating Season and are followed by the Opening Day Boat Parade. Nearly 500 rowers compete in this prestigious event, which culminates with the women's and men's Windermere Cup races.

Following the races, fans are invited to join the regatta champions for the awards ceremony and presentation of the Windermere Cup Trophy at the Conibear Shellhouse.

Admission to the event is free and can be seen by land or boat. Please see the information on the relevant pages.

Listen to KJR AM 950 for play-by-play coverage of the races live from the shores of the Montlake Cut. Husky announcer Bob Rondeau will deliver live action, race results and the rich pageantry of the 23rd annual Windermere Cup. The race will also be shown live and archived on GoHuskies.com.

Former Husky rowers Jenni Hogan, now with KIRO TV, and Al Erickson will provide broadcast commentary for the Windermere Cup.
