SEATTLE - The Washington men's and women's crews will hold their annual informational meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 4pm in the Conibear Shellhouse.

Any students interested in learning more about joining Washington rowing should attend this meeting. Husky rowers are among the nation's most elite, with both teams earning several national titles. In 2008 alone, the men's team claimed championship titles in the second varsity eight, the varsity four and the freshman four, while the women won the national title in the varsity four.

What to Know:
1. Rowers are typically tall (5'-8" and above for women, 6'-2" and above for men).
2. Coxswains are generally much smaller. Coxswains should weigh less than 115 pounds to qualify for a women's boat or under 125 pounds to qualify for a men's boat. Coxswains are responsible for everything from steering shells to planning and executing race strategy.
3. There is absolutely no experience necessary!

What to Bring With You:
1. Proof of health insurance (a photocopy of your insurance card)
2. Fill out this form and bring it with you
3. Fill out this recruiting questionnaire and submit it online

And head down to the Conibear Shellhouse for the meeting at 4pm Wednesday!
